Why does Re zero have comparatively less female fans?
Um so I'm a girl i really like Re zero it's one of my favourite animes in fact but i feel like there are a lot less female fans in the fandom that it's male counterparts and I'm not just talking about this sub but in the fandom in general like i was looking for a re zero fanfic on ao3 and there just aren't enough (it has abt 6k fics when some other fandoms that I'm in like blue lock or tokyo revengers have wt least over 20k) so i realised that most fanfic writers are females so re zero just doesn't have a big number of female fans... So i tried thinking what could be the reason but tbh i can't find a good one like I'd understand if it sexualizes it's female characters which as a girl I'd hate to see but that's not the case... It has both male and female characters in fact animes like blue lock or haikyuu are way more popular among girls which have a majority of male cast so that can't be the reason either.. the only reason I can think of is the lack of ships especially mlm/wlw ships which are generally popular amongst women.
