Please keep this about just emelia and Subaru..I know more characters have a similar case and especially rem does. This post is about emelia and Subaru. Keep it at that.

Whenever any other character is mentioned, my mind immediately goes to what I think of them specifically (except for a few cases) but whenever the topic is emelia, my mind just leads to Subaru. Every single time.

I thought about it and I don't think I can name a single character in re:zero that would, when asked about emelia, focus on her and not think about Subaru, except maybe felt and pandora? (Don't know enough about her to say but there's definitely some connection there).

Sure, there are other characters like rem who are overshadowed by him because of how many things they did with Subaru but they still feel like their own character, whereas emelia without Subaru just feels incomplete to me.

There are still character with a similar situation but none of them are as major as emelia is. Maybe this feels so wierd to me because of how much the fandom hypes up emelia. I'm not saying she has bad writing or anything but this just feels wrong? I remember hearing that emelia was the reason for this story to even be made and the first character.

Question: how do you think the main characters would answer when asked about emelia and how fast would the conversation come to Subaru?

has it been revealed in the novels yet? And will we actually ever get an answer?

So I am making this post randomly because I want to see so read if you want

Well from the start to till now if Re zero I really didn't like any of Subaru relationship that much whether it's Subaru X Emilia or Subaru X Rem

And I would really love to see Subaru X Satelle ending

Why I don't like subaru X Emilia:

Even though now thing have changed but till arc 3 I don't like how Subaru was chasing Emilia like a dog even though she is his type , show him kindness but that was too much and it really make this a bit unpleasant and little less grown because subaru experienced many thing with Emilia which Emilia didn't and it always be a problem

Why I don't like subaru X Rem:

Even though it's one of the good ship but Rem obsession isn't much different from subaru, if she love you she will go crazy for you , if she suspected you , you wouldn't even get chance to explain yourself, if you don't came any of the category you are just a normal formality for her

Subaru X Satelle :

Do I really need to explain?

Well that's my opinion if you want you can tell your too I will be please to listen (only if that isn't a ragebate)

Edit : Remember I don't hate those ship I just like Subaru X Satelle more because my heart find peace in seeing them together

Here Julius forcefully refuses to accept Subaru's help and falls down the stairs because he feels shame

This is because he brutally beat and humiliated him back in Season 1

Also at that time, it was Subaru against the entire Royal Knights/Kingdom

Yet no one stepped up to help Subaru, aside from Emilia (she left him too btw)

Julius, Felix and all other knights labelled Subaru as pathetically weak and useless

But he later on proved himself by defeating the White Whale, Sloth and Greed

And now despite facing the exact same humiliation by the hands of Reid, Julius feels that Subaru of all people should not help him because of their past

So Julius feels shame and unworthiness that the same guy he humiliated so badly is still supporting him despite having all the reasons not to. If Subaru wanted, he could've laughed at Julius' humiliation or choose to ignore him to get revenge but he didn't and supported him like a friend. So Julius felt he didn't deserve Subaru's support.

That's why just after this scene he apologizes to Subaru and they become friends because Julius sees how much of an amazing guy Natsuki Subaru is
