Need Advice: After a 3-Year Break, I Finally Gave Someone a Chance, But Something Feels Off.

Hey everyone,

After staying single for almost 3 years and focusing on myself, I finally decided to give someone a chance. I've been talking to a girl who's currently in 4th semester at Apeejay College of Engineering.

The thing is, while she seems interested, I can't shake the feeling that something is a bit fishy. Sometimes her behavior feels inconsistent, and my gut keeps telling me that there might be something she's not telling me.

I'm not the type to be controlling or invade someone's privacy, but since I've been out of the dating scene for a long time, I'm wondering if I'm just overthinking things or if these are actual red flags.

For those with more experience:

What signs usually indicate that someone is genuinely serious about you?

What are some common signs that a person might already be seeing someone else?

How do you tell the difference between intuition and insecurity?

I'd appreciate honest advice. I don't want to ruin a potentially good relationship by overthinking, but I also don't want to ignore warning signs if they're there.

Thanks in advance.
