Today I purchased a new Switch 2, unfortunately, because I traded it in, and you apparently require your old Switch to transfer data so now not only do I not have access to my purchased items I need my other switch just to transfer data. Which is now gone.

I'm sorry but why would a company like Nintendo not take into account that people would trade in? Why isn't 90 percent of this data saved? Why do I need both consoles? I literally don't understand.
