I just bought a second handed nintendo switch oled, cuz I’m broke, and switch games are sooo expensive.. and I don’t want to mod it so I wanted to buy a game that would last me playing it for months without getting tired, do you have any suggestions??? Thank you in advance!!

Is there game on switch that's similar to animal crossing but you can actually play together with your SO without throwing logs under you feet like animal crossing does?

It needs to support online play and be on switch.

I've played Stardew Valley before and I'm looking for something new.

I'm planning to buy Switch 1, mostly because of it exclusives as I have PS5 for multiplatform games. I'm mostly a story driven games enjoyer(Cyberpunk, TLOU, Witcher 3, RDR 2 etc) and didn't played many JRPGS. Though one of the my most favourite games of all time is JRPGS( Persona series ). Though you can list even a games from previous Nintendo consoles(considering that they have port on switch) as I never had any Nintendo

Hey everyone, as the title says I have 0 switch games to my name or any other accessories, last Nintendo console I owned and played was the 64 so I've been gone for awhile, recently I've been getting bored of my usual set up and wanted to try something different. In comes the switch 2, now what's holdinge back Is the not only the cost of entery but also the fact switch games are very expensive, I'm mainly a playstation gamer so whenever I switch console I still have hundreds of games physically and digitally that can keep me occupied but with the switch 2 I would be starting from 0.

So would it still be worth it and what games would you recommend I try out first? If I do go for it I won't be paying for online immediately and I would probably get 2-3 games max.

my girlfriend and I are both gonna be off of work due to some medical stuff in a few weeks and I’d love to get into playing our switch more! Any great couch co-op games? Bonus points if they’re beginner friendly cause she’s not much of a gamer besides Animal Crossing and Mario Kart! we have Super Smash Bros and Super Mario bros already

If I have a physical cartridge for a Switch 1 game (like Pikmin 4) and I want to play it on my Switch 2 does the console need to download anything?

I am trying to see if I should sell my original Switch or hang on to it. I don’t ever want to be in a position where I am dependent on Nintendo’s download services remaining active to play my old games.

Edit: Thank you all for answering and helping me out! It looks like I can play Switch 1 games without a download, but DLC and Switch 2 optimization/update patches will need a download.

For context. I am a causal gamer nothing serious I don't care about multiplayer and latest games. I don't care about getting max performance or FPS I have never even noticed these things. I am not one of those everything should be perfect kind of gamer. I just play solo games and that's all. I am seeing the switch on sale of course second-hand for about 180 dollars so what do guys think? Switch 2 is out of budget unfortunately

Tomadachi life or Cyberpunk 2077? Help me please

i like tomodachi life cause its cute and comfy but cyberpunk looks so cool too

edit: thank you guys i know that those two games are different but i was looking for a cool game that i can spend hours on until my mom buys me another switch game. i guess i will choose cyberpunk since people say that it lasts longer. thank you again

Typical question here I think, but it will be my gf's birthday later this month. I thought about surprising her with a switch game as one of her presents. Only thing is I don't know what to give her because I am not a switch fan myself. It is a switch 1 that she owns.

She is quite quirky and really loves cats. She has played Animal Crossing and Tomodachi Life to death, she is also enjoyed horror games like Silent Hill 2 Remake or Subnautica 1. She does enjoy the typical platformer-adventure provided they are very simple and easy to understand, like Sonic Frontiers. And of course, 2-player games are great for the both of us. She has a really small library so I doubt that there will be suggestions you made that she already owns.

As technology improves, so does the graphics of the games. However it feels like now we have gotten to the point where making the software more and more realistic isn't going to match of what Nintendo is looking for and keeping it the same also is not really the best idea either. I can now see that Nintendo has shifted into a cartoony and more expressive. kind of style which I am really a fan of. This all started in super Mario wonder 2023. The word 'new' was removed indicating that this is a different series yet the same idea.

In this game you can see the animation, style and design has that cartoon kids look. I was actually fine with the way wonder was played and looked although I'll definitely miss the good old new super Mario bros. Another great example would be Mario kart world. I main baby daisy in deluxe however after seeing the change in world, I no longer like her as much and even feels like someone different. No issues with her in mario kart wii, but looking at mario kart world, clearly is not the same. Not all Mario games have followed this cartoon look however I can see where the design is slowly but surely heading towards tha direction and although Wonder is what started it all, I'd like to mention that the Super Mario bros movie may of also made an impact.
