I really like this churntable. Not quite like my Marantz TT-15S1, but it's altogether pretty solid. I forwent the per-instructions (typical) method for setup and used my digital tracking gauge and anti-skate record to get things like I'd rather them be. The thick and chunky butcher board element of this deck really does it for me. Probably was the main appeal about it to begin with.

I started out in the $200-$250 range, ordered one, canceled due to another deal I saw for $350, regular $499. I then canceled that for a TT costing $599 that was regular $899. Funny how one does not want to increase their budget but somehow the steep discounts make you think you're somehow losing money because of the deal. So here it stands, a Dual CS 429. I seriously dig this thing and I love the thick chopping board element.

EDIT: Order canceled on account that it's made in Mexico. I have no use for this. All my Strats are US made and there will be no exceptions. There is nothing to see here. 👀

Seems like a good moderate "bang for the buck-er" automatic to me. All-adjustable, weighted, looks good (IMO), etc. I can't find anything wrong with it but you might say different.

He listens to records once in a while and has a very cheap TT currently. I wanted to step up his game just a tad; especially with some more weight, at 11 lbs. I know the adjustments are fixed but he's not going to care about that. It was between $400 - $500 and I got it "open box" for $280. The savings was also a factor. Any thoughts on this one?

Waiting on a full black mat for Shout and a full white one for Theatre to fill the empty space.

They are actually very high gloss but the camera isn't getting it.

Fosi Box X1 demo with unit I acquired for a second system. Very impressive actually. Actual vinyl ADC transfer ..not a room mic.

I love this pre and always wanted to do a demo of it. Well I finally got off my butt and got all my ducks lined up and made that happen, today. I always recommend this pre and this is probably now the only direct conversion to digital (ADC) demo out there for you all to see..
