Went on vacation and my new turntable stayed at home. Came back home, tried to play a song and heard the worst sound ever. Found my needle like this. Husband denies touching it. I have to replace it, right? 🥲
Sitting between tire cleaner and party supplies, these were on the shelf in the Walmart clearance aisle today. I’ve never seen music or media there actually. Random, but a total score! 🙌🏼
Love closing out to Fleetwood Mac is like the best wind down
I’m looking to buy a sizeable LCD Soundsystem vinyl collection — ideally a full or near-full discography from one seller.
I really hate this type of sleeve, but they come standard in a lot of newer records. If you like them please tell me why, because I just think they're annoying to handle and usually store awfully in the jacket.
I have some albums that manage to get themselves on 1 disc (2 sides) but it seems so many others with the same or less run time need 2 discs (4 sides)
For example Straight Outta Compton (NWA) is an hour long and fits on 2 sides whereas Pyschodrama (Dave) is 51 minutes long and uses 4 sides.
Can anyone explain why this is the case?
Furthermore, why do the discs with less on, Pyschodrama in this instance, not require being played in 45rpm?

When you decide to have kids, you never think, “someday, he’ll be screwing around in the basement and wreck a $1k needle.”
Álbum maravilhoso, disco lindo!
