How do I fix this?

I’ve always said I have no chin and I’ve always hated my side profile. Now at age 41 I’ve got major jowling going on. Would jaw surgery fix this? If so, how do I get it. A dentist told me recently I have a narrow passageway when she looked in my mouth and suggested a sleep study for sleep apnea. I’ve asked my neurologist twice for a referral (once in person and once in a my chart message) but he hasn’t done it.

Accidentally took a med that helped

I meant to take pramipexole and accidentally took hydroxyzine hydrochloride. A med that was prescribed to me for a skin condition a while ago. (I didn’t end up using it for that condition).

Apparently it also works for sedation, anxiety, insomnia and muscle relaxation, among other things. It knocked me completely out. Unfortunately I had a super hard time functioning until around 4pm the next day or I would take this medication more often for RLS. However it’s an antihistamine, so I’m wondering if I did use it on the weekends, would it possibly make RLS worse?

Terrible experience with lyrica

It’s almost 4am. I’m on night two of taking Lyrica… I experienced worse RLS, dry mouth, hunger pangs and (tonight) uncontrollable crying. It also made me tired (but I still couldn’t sleep) and very wobly. I could feel it in my system at work this morn.too I’m so disappointed it didn’t work. Dr suggested to try it after gaba stopped working. Now what? 😢

Gabapentin not working now

Summer has always been way worse for my RLS but this is the first summer where I have medication. I was taking 600 mg of gabapentin but since I haven’t been able to sleep, I’ve upped it to 900mg, to no effect. (600 mg and then an hour later I’m taking another 300 mg). I reached out to the neurologist to ask for other solutions. At first he recommended pramipexole, which I had already tried, but quickly stopped taking when I joined this group and learned that it had augmentation effects. So I asked for another option and he said to try pregabalin/Lyrica Does anyone have experience with this? Does Lyrica work better than gabapentin? Why wasn’t I put on Lyrica in the first place? Is there anything else to ask to try?
