Hi everyone,

My girlfriend and I will be visiting Palermo for the first time in August and we’re staying near Tribunale di Palermo.

Our flight lands around 10:30 PM, so after taking the airport bus or train into the city, we’ll probably be walking from the central station to our hotel around midnight with just backpacks. Would you consider that walk generally safe, or would you recommend taking a taxi instead?

Also, are there any areas in Palermo that visitors should avoid?

Sorry if I sound overly cautious. We had a bad experience near Brussels Noord station on a previous trip, so since then I’ve been a bit more careful about safety when visiting new cities.
