Vibe: Green Witch at a Southern Wedding?
Hi all! On the search for The Dress and having trouble finding what I'm looking for! 3k, Summer 2027, >$1000.
So far the closest thing I have found is this Maggie Sottero Vercille Lane. I love the tailored look of this dress, with strong structure. I also really love the mini-dress with a larger overskirt look. So many dresses in that style have the more boho/fairytale poofy sleeves look and at 5ft I'm too petite for that. So, tailor and structure wise, I love this dress.
Fabric wise, I'm not in love. This pink is kind of porceline doll for me? I'm an avid outdoors woman and gardener, so I'm loving the recent trends of incorporating plant life/florals onto dresses but again, stylistically those lean boho/fairytale. I'm not heart-set on a white dress, and honestly I'm leaning kind of against. I'm queer and disowned by my family so I'm leaning into the idea that maybe the further away from traditional aesthetic I go, the less it will hurt not to have them there? Anyway, that's a side rant. But if you've read this far, thank you.
This whole thing is so overwhelming! Some days I think we should just have a courthouse wedding to skip the overwhelm (and therapy costs lmao) and only focus on my sweet future wife.... but I think I will be so sad if I don't do the fun parts like getting a pretty dress and forcing all my friends to come to town to have an epic dance party.
TLDR: I want to look like a green witch at a southern wedding. Help??
