Gotta get that undercoat out!

I recently got into loaches for the first time, and am generally very new at owning fish. This is my current set up. I believe 20gal tank with Mollys and X-ray Tetras (as well as snails and one shrimp). I feed them all the same, a community food.

We have three black Kuhlis and three little grays… not sure what the variety is named.

We have two filters going and are gradually increasing the plants. I recently added the sand-like substrate, but I understand you can’t completely change the substrate (?).

The temperature is around 80, which I believe is a little warm however I am not sure how to lower it in the summer.

I am looking for general advice on how to improve the care of my loaches!

Last year, just Me & My Dog. Ketchum was not the sole destination of course, but discovering the secret beauty of Idaho was inspired by the song. We went in June… it SNOWED while we were there! An incredible moment.

My dog has passed away but I hope to make the journey again.

I believe smoke signals references Hailey, Idaho.. we went there too!
