Why is the IKEA ANTILOP high chair so popular despite no footrest?

I keep seeing parents highly recommend it because it’s easy to clean, simple and affordable. But I also read that footrests are important for posture and safer eating during solids.

So I’m confused.
Did your babies do fine without a footrest?

Also, please suggest some good budget-friendly high chairs available in India with:
- decent safety
- easy cleaning
- preferably a footrest
- not too bulky

Looking for basic stroller

My LO is 5 months and I’m looking for a basic stroller reccos. I have no plans for travel and I stay in a gated community, so roads are okay here. Please suggest.

I haven’t started reading books to my LO yet, but thinking to begin now mostly at night and maybe a little during the day too. I’m not really a book person myself, so trying to build this habit for both of us.

How did you all start?
Do you read out loud and make it fun, or just keep it simple? And what kind of books worked for your babies in the beginning?

Would love some recommendations if your little one has favourites. Links would be super helpful too!

I stay in Bangalore, also open to pre-loved books if anyone is selling or knows where I can find them.

Hi moms,

I wanted to know how you usually help your babies sleep during daytime naps. Do you mostly rock them, feed them to sleep, use a swing or something else?

For daytime, I’m mostly using a traditional cloth swing tied to the cot for my baby. Just curious what works for others.

Hi moms

What kind of light are you using at night for your baby?Right now I’m using a table lamp, but it feels a bit too bright during night feeds and diaper changes. Looking for something softer that won’t disturb baby’s sleep.
