SBJ needs help
SBJ – Need Guidance on Weight Gain During Week 3 of Treatment
Cat’s Name: SBJ
Age: ~7 months
Current Weight: 4.9 lbs (weighed Tuesday)
Diagnosis: FIP
Treatment: Compounded GS‑441524 liquid, just over 3 weeks in
Vet: Dr. Butler (Hawaii)
Recent Labs: Viral load “barely in very high but normal”
Location: Hawaii (USA)

- SBJ eating next to his littermate Ed — showing how much smaller he is
- Recent photo of SBJ alone showing current body condition
Main Concern:
SBJ wants to eat and comes to the bowl, but he gets full very quickly and only eats small amounts at a time. He is extremely frail and struggling to gain weight.
Supportive Care:
- Mirataz
- High‑calorie gel
- Broth/goat milk
- Multiple small meals daily
What I’m asking for:
- Advice on helping him gain weight
- Whether this “gets full quickly” pattern is normal around week 3
- Suggestions for supportive supplements (B12, nausea support, etc.)
- Signs that might indicate a dosing or supportive‑care adjustment
