Bare w me…..& my confusion… I created an Instagram account after swearing to be off forever… because I saw people saying I need a portfolio on there , my website portfolio / posting it on here isn’t enough for inbound reach/ SEO?

I posted 3 sample videos with like 10 viewz….on insta yesterday…

Is this normal and will brands still look at my Instagram and consider working with me even if I only have 20 followers and low watch?

I keep my hashtags specific just to UGC and my thumbnail just say “UGC Sample”, no scroll stopping caption…

Do I need to treat my Instagram as a social profile and have an aesthetic?

I keep hearing the word “ brand yourself” …

but I started UGC because I was excited I could wear many hats and use my knowledge in different fields and my different looks while not needing to have a social media!! ( ie: some days I’m a frumpy lady with messy hair & messy home… some days girly girl clean girl aesthetic videos…. Some with my dogs not styled just generic filming , others cooking aesthetically…)

Soooo my looks are all over the place and I use different styles to make videos- some humour, some “it girl mellow talk” etc…. I don’t want to be a brand and have the same video formats like I see these UGC coaches post.

I thought UGC is acting and acting means whatever or as many roles / personas / aesthetics as you want …. do I just surrender to one aesthetic and keep that up and have to have instagram and start a “brand” around my portfolio with filler content?

OR…..Should I keep posting my medley variety pack mix of sample videos- no need for filler content videos- and not worry of followers/ engagement and still potentially be found by a brand or just stick to a website portfolio and email brands ?

I’m a Canadian content creator starting out and before I start making the money I’m trying to prepare all my financial backend.

One thing that got me thinking is I’ll be doing lots of travel by car and by planes and I would love to sign up for a card that gives me points so that I’ll never have to pay for another flight again or other benefits. I’ve never had a Visa card in my life before so I’m new to this. I never have debt, and live within means but starting my own business now I think it’s time for me to start and obviously I’m nervous…

I’d love to hear from the community. What should I be looking at as a beginner entrepreneur, and something that will benefit me and my family.

I’m just wondering my spouse is a nurse and he plans to work in the states once he’s done school. Obviously, I plan to come along with him.

I realize there’s way more American base deals and feel limited as a Canadian.

Are there any work visas or processes that would allow me to continue doing UGC full-time while living in the states so I can learn those better deals prior to my spouse even moving there? I don’t mind if we have to live apart for a bit. I just really am after those better paying brand deals to rebuild my life financially.

I always hear stories about Canadians who went for work to the US and just wanted to know about those stories if they don’t have an American spouse or a green card what are the options to make this a reality legally to gain access to those gigs?

All the UgC girls I see for sample videos to get inspo from all look the same in a way? Perfect skin, lighting looks glassy skin, minimalist clothing , talk/ act move the same, houses look the same white minimal….

Is this the acting role I need to fit in to be successful? Or anyone have links to profiles of girls unique and making it big in the game? All niches.

I just don’t feel I fit standard beauty like the UGC influencyy looking girlies so deters me from getting started.

I love working for tech apps, saas, lifestyle and wellness brands and also very comfortable with fashion ( swimwear , lingerie etc).

🚨 I’m looking for brands that don’t need me to have my own social media to post on. I’m very happy creating and batching content for your own brands exclusive use drop in the comments below or if anyone has experience with brands that they recommend for me to reach out, I would greatly appreciate leads or platforms .

I’ve tried doing my research online and through forums and I’m still very confused. How do all these girls make money long-term on cam sites , but then I hear that the banking is a thing?
