pls excuse the shoddy soldering

I'm sure the connections are solid though. I was following this soldering tutorial and connected the negative and positive connections to the ground and Vbus connections on the USB-C board (I'm assuming V is Vbus and G is ground) as instructed here in the video.

I've re-connected the ribbon cables and tried charging it through the USB-C port but the orange charging light didn't turn on. I tried with the regular charging port and it charged as normal. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
