Any hacks to break into Birkenstocks?
I don't think my feet can take the super hard surface of my new Birks? Any hacks to break them in and get that comfy cork foot bed feel faster?
I have PF since a year and my feet burn and hurt on hard surfaces.

I have had both neuritis and plantar fasciitis since 1 year now. Neuritis is getting better gradually. How did you get out this. Because of neuritis, I can't load my forefoot to do plantar fasciitis stretches.
Not diagnosed with hashimotos yet.
Blood work:
TSH: 2.58 Thyroglobulin antibodies: 20 (reference is ≤2) Thyroid peroxidase (TPO) antibodies: negative
Ferritin: 18
Ha1c: 5.3
Fasting insulin: Unknown
Weight: Underweight (BMI is 18)
Context: Undergoing betrayal trauma for the past year, very young kids
Symptoms: when sleep is disturbed or I am upset, I have extreme exhaustion and brain fog, shortness of breath, sleepiness, hair loss, foot pain. This happens once or twice a month for a few days.
Thinking ahead, what are some of the most useful strategic/questions I could ask the doc? If I am prescribed meds, anything I should watch out for?
Context: Neuroma is both feet for the past 3 months due to incorrect positioning while doing lunges. I am flat footed. Iced forefoot for 10 mins three times a day for 6 weeks. I can now walk pain free 4 k steps with BREAKS. Orthotics, altras, stretching, metatarsal pads - done it all. I am not overweight nor diabetic. Doctor thinks I am in acute stage (and not chronic) so hopefully the neuritis will resolve fully.
Question:
For those of you with chronic neuroma, does the sock in toe and then pain trigger depending on load or is it there all the time?
Would ablation/surgery be the only option moving forward if neuritis doesn't resolve fully?
Thank you.
