Venogram scheduled

Hi fellow whooshers!

I first noticed my PT in March. I have had it everyday since, not all day but everyday. It changes with head position, goes away with neck compression, and impacts my sleep to an extent.

I first had a CT which showed sigmoid sinus dehiscence and diverticulum. I then got at MRV which confirmed what the CT showed, but also showed stenosis before the diverticulum. My neurotologist referred me to an interventional neurologist who is going to perform a venogram to determine whether or not the vein needs stented. If it does, I will get stented before having bone resurfacing surgery.

I am looking for advice/tips/recommendations as I am preparing for the venogram, potential stent, and potential bone resurfacing. Thanks everyone!!!

Trouble with task initiation and task paralysis

Hi folks! I (F,27) am currently taking 54 mg of generic concerta. I previously used strattera but stopped due to lack of effectiveness for me. I have felt that my emotional dysregulation has improved tremendously with this new medication, but I am still struggling. Specifically, I am still struggling with task initiation and task paralysis. I can sustain focus on somethings, but struggle at other times. Is this something that I will always struggle with, or would medication help?

I have an appointment with my psych tomorrow and am curious if I should bring up increasing my dose and/or trialing a new medication. I would appreciate any suggestions/tips/feedback! Thanks :)

Lab work came back, super positive?

Hi everyone!

I posted recently about an incidental finding on a CT that indicated Sjogren's. This prompted my ENT to send me for an autoimmune blood panel, and I have gotten back these results and wanted to share:

  • ANA Screen, IFA: Positive
  • SS-A: >8.0 POS H
  • SS-B: 1.8 POS
  • Rheumatoid factor (IGA): positive, 25 H
  • Rheumatoid factor (IGM): positive, >100 H
  • ANA titer: positive, 1:1280 H with nuclear, large/coarse speckled pattern
  • The rest of my tests came back negative.

I called to schedule an appointment with rheumatology, but the earliest appointment is October 7. I also asked to be put on the wait list. Do y'all have any thoughts on my results or suggestions for me to implement? Would you recommend another appointment with my ENT in the meantime? Thanks everyone!

Hi everyone!

I am very new to this community and Sjogrens in general. I had a CT of my temporal (ear) bones on Friday for an unrelated issue (pulsatile tinnitus in left ear), and in my report, the radiologist reported: "The parotid glands are incompletely visualized but appear heterogeneous with areas of intermediate density nodularity and low density fat as well as a few punctate calcifications. This could be related to Sjogren's disease or another chronic inflammatory process." And recommended an ultrasound to better visualize the parotid glands.

I have always called the pain and swelling I feel in my jaw/neck TMJ, but I am wondering if this is connected to Sjogrens. My face will swell by my jaw/in front of my ear and feels sore and uncomfortable for days. Do any of you experience this?

I will take any words of encouragement or tips from this community. I struggle with anxiety and am finding myself deep down this rabbit-hole.
