What would you doin this situation?
I 31NB was living with Rick 36M for two months. I've known him about as long as I've lived in the Midwest. We worked for a pretty large company for shipping and selling products. Either way he was terminated. He had another friend of ours stay with him... They left. He begged my best friend (36F) to ask me to move in with him. I did. He apparently couldn't tolerate the fact that I can be a little messy, but I did clean up after myself. He didn't talk to me about it. He didn't mention it, but he did lie to me to tell me he was moving out with a family member who he already owes a great deal of money for things out of his control. My financial situation got worse based on a few things so I did struggle with rent a little, but I was trying. I was told that he still had the apartment yesterday.
I moved into the situation with zero idea or any kind of stipulation about how things would go or any expectations. I was open and honest with all communication. I probably could have handled the situation better, but what can you do? One Wednesday when I was working I got a message that he was moving out earlier than he told me because I "trashed" the apartment. Honestly I more than likely needed to wash some dishes, and/or clean my bathroom. I later found out he was lying. I also didn't know that he had cleaning products that I could have borrowed the tiniest amount of to clean my bathroom. I was working that day and I work 10 hour days. I missed 6 hours of work to move myself out, and as a bonus act of petty I turned the key I had into the office.
