What definitely happened in this fic:
-Obi-wan and Cody are helping Vode desert
-They come up with a whole plan ahead of time
-They are hiding it by reporting clones as KIA that are actually being smuggled out
-they find a suitable planet that is uninhabited but liveable (specifically mention finding one that isn’t too nice or they’ll be found more quickly)
-they find out about the chips right before they send the first group of clones
-very specific mention that a medic has to be in the first group out because they need someone to be taking out chips on the new planet
-some kind of word of mouth network that gets around the rest of the GAR that if you want out, ask to be transferred to the 212th
What might have happened, or I might be mixing it up with a different fic:
-Anakin might have been helping? Can’t remember how Anakin is treated in this fic.
-Clone deaths recorded as “lost inventory” or equipment. This might have been the incitement for Obi-Wan to go planet hunting
-Cody walks in on Obi-Wan on the verge of tears because he had been helping Bail with a Clone Rights Bill and it failed. This convinces Cody that Obi-Wan can be trusted
-clones with severe fear of being sent to Kamino for treatment when their injuries are too severe too be treated on their ships.
-running joke of Obi-Wan needing to order more cloaks because he keeps losing them?
