After almost every run my foot just cramps up for five minutes to half an hour after stopping right under my arch on either foot but never both. It's fine during jogging though. It's not preventing me from running or anything since it eventually goes away but it's just annoying if i have to walk somewhere right afterwards like to get to the restroom or shower.
I've been going out regularly for jogs since December 2024 so i think that i should be well adapted by now but i've been putting up with it since then. I don't think it happens on anything shorter than 5k or so though.
So far i've tried gatorade before a run and keeping hydrated, salt tabs, stretching the foot right afterwards which sometimes triggers it instead. Also tried a wider forefoot shoe, support shoes, and insoles but still get them. Also have gotten this at slow easy paces and after races as well.
I made an appointment to a physician for this but it's way out in september. Anyone know what causes this or what i can do to to prevent this? Thanks in advance!
