Hi everyone,

I have a question about changing passport/citizenship details after buying a flight ticket.

At the moment, I have my current passport, but before my planned trip I’m expected to obtain new citizenship and receive a new passport. My current citizenship passport will then be cancelled.

Does anyone know how this usually works with airlines?

Can I update the passport number after purchasing the ticket?

Can the citizenship/nationality details also be changed?

Is this something that can usually be done online via “Manage Booking”, during check-in, or do I need to contact the airline directly?
Particularly Air China :)

I’d really appreciate any experiences or advice, especially from people who had a similar situation.
