I just race an unnamed regatta in the junior double and 1 team took the top 3 and would’ve taken 4 but got some weird penalty. Why is this allowed they’re not letting smaller clubs even have a chance at competing
My grades and test scores are great, but I committed almost all available time and energy to rowing, and minimal other ECs where I achieved multiple national medals (25 hour weeks year round 5 years) aside from getting recruited but curious where I should set my sights on.

In an almost opposite sense of altitude training, would training in a heavily wooded area like Vermont or similar areas lead to better performance because there’s more oxygen?
I know it sounds impractical but has anyone tried bringing a water bladder, commonly used for distance runs and hiking, with them in a vest onto the water. Just for convenience of drinking without stopping would it be effective (assuming you could access the water hands free).
