Anyone else finding it extremely difficult to find a job in Waterford. Currently working in Infosys been here for a little over a year, trying to get out of this horror story of a place but it’s so difficult. Nothing on indeed or jobs.ie. Been applying all over the place for 6+ months only got one interview but the job was part time so couldn’t take it. Genuinely so stuck no clue where to go or what to do, going mental in this place.

On Barrack Street where the sirens sing,
You’ll hear ten rumours before anything.
Someone’s yelling halfway down the road,
While a fella flies past on a stolen moped.

And deep at night, when the streetlights creak,
Locals whisper of the Beast of Barrack Street.
Not claws or teeth or glowing red eyes —
Just a lad in a Canada Goose asking for a light outside.

In Waterford the weather changes every minute,
Sun, rain, wind — somehow all in it.
You leave the house dressed nice and smart,
Five minutes later? Washed apart.

The buses late, the gulls are loud,
There’s always someone shouting in the crowd.
But give us a sunny day down by the quay,
And suddenly it’s Ibiza… apparently.
