I want to get a voucher for a nice meal as a thank you to someone. I'm not quite sure what their preferences are food wise so ruling out Chinese, Indian etc could ye please recommend where would be the best place. Will be spending €100/150

Save the trees ?

Any 1 have any clue on what’s going on, some of the trees near setu have save the trees plastered all over them , are they planning on cutting them down I’m guessing? Or is it yer man who makes noise taking out the bin’s trying to do it

My Proposed Direct Waterford-Cork Railway

My proposal for a new direct rail line from Waterford City to Cork City, with stations in Tramore, Dungarvan, Youghal, and Midleton.

It would be transformative for the local economies throughout Waterford, and would allow for direct travel from Waterford City to Cork City in less than 1 hour.

This is compared to 1 hour 30 mins driving, 3 hours by train currently, and 1 hour 20 mins by train in the upgraded Limerick Junction line in the Government's Rail Review 2050.

A direct rail line between the 2nd and 5th largest cities is the norm in most other European countries. As one of the wealthiest countries in the world, why not us?

Amateur comedy nights around town?

Well lads, I only saw your man Chris Kent from Cork recently and it reminded me how much I enjoy a bit of live comedy. I remember there used to be comedy nights in Jarrz a few years back, Rogues Comedy Club I believe was the name, went to a few nights and had a great time. I just stumbled on their instagram and it seems to be dead in the water, no posts all year - does anyone if there’s any other amateur comedy nights currently running around town?
