Great journalism WLR, Waterford "town" should be proud.

Christ the standard of journalism is shocking. No doubt they'll be telling us soon about all the awards they win.

Can't even get basic geographic facts right.

James Dyson restricting access to Templemichael graveyard, Co. Waterford.

Get down to visit the graveyard if you can. Lot of history here. Parts of Barry Lyndon were filmed just by the river here - the famous dueling scene.

Important access is maintained for locals.

Public transport going up by 15%?

Ah frustrating so it is. And when are we actually getting the new bus routes?

We should be reducing the cost of public transport.

When things don't taste the same anymore?

It's sad when you go eat something you had as a child and realise they taste completely different now.

The latest is lucozade for me. When they took sugar out of it completely ruined the taste imo. Things like penguin bars have reduced their cocoa percentage too.

In September 1922, the Irish Free State government considered sending Republican prisoners to the island of St Helena to be housed by a British contractor and guarded by British troops. The cost turned out to be prohibitive.

Source was from Diarmuid Ferriter"s "The Transformation of Ireland" p. 298.

Do you think youth unemployment will become a bigger problem in the future?

You see the decline in grad programmes, rise of AI, more people with degrees than there are jobs for.

Interesting. Ireland is one of the only Catholic majority countries where August 15th is not a public holiday. Was there any move to make it a public holiday? Would you accept another public holiday?

It would be interesting if this was proposed. You can obviously see the controversy because non-Catholics wouldn't appreciate it obviously, but having a day off work is something people generally appreciate. We have fewer public holidays then European average.
