Iron shaft weight??

7 iron, m2 steel 88gram reax HL. Switched to graphite kbs PGI 80 zxi7 ball speed 125mph, 170yds carry in the sim. I liked the feel of my old iron but noted I needed high ball flights test a few shafts out and noted that the KBS gave me the highest ball flight, still 34-38 descent so low. Hated how it felt felt whippy, but performed the best at giving higher ball flights test. First time swinging was playing 18 yesterday, first 9 was all snap hooks, went back to slight draw back nine and having buyer remorse thinking I went to light on shaft.

Question I guess is how do you guys balance performance with feel, if a shaft does the best but you hate how it feels??

Golf ball for new player?

Still under one year of playing, I always hear new players or amateurs players don’t compress the ball enough for premium balls. I would like to consistently play one ball, I don’t lose more 1-2 per round so far I’m okay with paying a bit more to ensure consistency.

Currently using a 13.5 mini elyte lofted up to 15.5 and carrying about 255-268 on the range, using a rangefinder for accurate distance, have no idea about spin numbers, but typically have a ton of roll out so I’m guessing low spin, sometimes 25-30 yards rollout, typically a low draw shot shape. Carry m2 2017 GI irons 7 iron 170ish, again low draw, having issues holding greens.

Don’t have current access to a sim rn, but will in the near future just looking for some quick feedback on which kind of balls I should test on course.
