Hey everyone, I need some perspective on a situation I’ve found myself in.

About a month and a half ago, I met this guy. Things moved way too fast we started talking, met up, and before I knew it, I was swept into this 'romantic' whirlwind. The problem is, I’ve only ever seen him as a friend. I’m not really the type to get easily swayed by cheesy romance, but I somehow ended up in this 'relationship' loop.

Now that the initial rush is over, the red flags are becoming hard to ignore. Even though he’s 23, he’s incredibly immature and lacks any sense of intellectual curiosity. He doesn't try to level up or improve himself at all. What bothers me the most is his total dependency on his parents—he relies on them for everything and puts zero effort into his studies or building a future.

I just don't see a future with someone who has no drive or independence. It’s bound to cause major issues down the line, and frankly, I want to prioritize my own growth right now.

My dilemma is: How do I end this? Should I be upfront and tell him exactly why it’s not working? Is it okay to just block him and move on? Or am I being too harsh and should I give him another chance?

I’d really appreciate your honest (but respectful) advice. Thanks! 🙏🏻
