Will I get cold sores for the rest of my life (29M)
I have been dealing with back to back outbreaks since February
Acyclovir slowed it down but didnt work
Valacyclovir 500mg didn't work
1 gram worked for a few weeks but theyre active and coming back now
Im on 2 grams now and not hopeful
I tried 3k l lysine while on the other meds and have been avoiding arginine for months now
I have a prescription of Famvir that I am wondering if I should take which obviously I probably should
I dont see an end to this in sight and it has been ruining my life in every aspect especially talking to girls and getting into a relationship
I live in a place that gets extreme UV daily in the summers but this started before that
I am wearing sunscreen chapstick 50 spf
I work from home but am going to start working outside for a living within the next year which is just going to make matters worse
Im in a very calm state of mind when I say I think its only a matter of time until this escalates to my eye because its centralized to my lips but im already getting tiny ones on other parts of my face. Ive never heard of a person getting a months-year long outbreak and suddenly getting over it. I dont see an end in sight.
And I do believe I have some immunodeficiency but its not aids, Ive had tests done so thats not it
