My tank after 3 months

My tank after 3 months

When I first posted my 40 gallon I was ridiculed on this sub for a variety of reasons mainly because I had a toy car and tiger barbs living with gourami. I was even sent some nasty dms calling me a fucking moron. While I didn’t appreciate the tone I listened nonetheless removing the car and rehoming the barbs. Tank is now thriving and my parameters are very stable. I’m curious if any of you fish genius have anything else you can scold me about. Everyone lives in peace and harmony with the exception of the male gourami occasionally chasing the female. I have lots of floating plants and hiding spots. The critters currently living here are as follows:
Male and female thick lip gourami
6 assorted danios
6 Cory catfish
1 pleco
12 cherry shrimps
6 khuli loach
9 neon tetra and 2 glow tetra

Paid a shop to install sound deadening. Was I ripped off?

I paid a shop 600$ to install sound deadening in all 4 doors of my Tundra while they were also installing an amplifier, speakers and a subwoofer. At first I had no complaints. Stereo sounds good but it’s not as loud as I expected and there is a rattle in the drivers door when it’s at high volume or even medium volume on some songs. I took off the door panel to see if there was anything I could do to add some insulation and to my surprise the only sound deadening product that they installed was a square, less than 1 square ft, rubber pad stuck behind the speaker. For 150$ a door I thought I was going to get the door fully insulated. Should I go back there and raise hell?

▲ 2 r/ponds

I am going to build a two level pond connected with a waterfall and short stream. It seems the previous owner of the house started building one because they cut this hole in the wall and ran power but they never finished. This wall is about 2 feet tall. The upper pond is going to be a large bio filter and garden pond for the local wildlife. Lower pond will be heavily planted with fish that is surrounded by garden. I’m struggling to visualize how I can make a nice waterfall using this already cut hole. It’s pretty small and there is less than 2 feet of elevation drop from the upper area. Additionally I haven’t decided what materials to use to construct either the ponds or the waterfall and stream portion. Should I use pre fab tubs, pour concrete or buy the flexible liner? Any pond experts care to chime in with the best diy method to build this? I am handy and have all everything I need to cut stone and pour concrete but if I can get a good result using a pond liner and natural rock could do that too. I’m hitting a creative wall on how to make this waterfall and stream using this hole. The space is quite large and I don’t mind spending some coin on materials. My goal is something very beautiful that also doesn’t require a huge amount of maintenance. Thank you for any suggestions.

I wanted a spot to mount fishing rods and camping shit so I drilled a bunch of holes in my cap and mounted these builtright molle panels. I’m super impressed with the panels and hardware quality.
