Cx-5- safety
I wrecked my 2018 cx-5. Someone pulled directly out in front and I T-boned. I’ve always driven older cars without as many safety features (grew up on a used car lot). I can honestly say if I was in a typical car I would have driven- may have been killed. Minimal injuries in the Cx-5. R arm from honking and bracing and typical chest wall and abd bruises from a seat belt that worked. Car is totaled. I wanted to brag in Mazda’s safety. I know there are other comparable makes- but it was a pretty horrible crash and I’m going to be good as new in a few weeks.
Wishing the cx-90 had a better reputation as I want to size up… but, if you’re considering a cx-5 I can’t daw enough good things about the 2018. Bought used at around 30,000 mi and I drove to 148,000 with absolutely no issues. It was a pleasure to drive as well. Just a good car. I think I could have easily driven many many more miles. I had no plan to trade it in as it was incredibly reliable.
