Going to Osaka Japan October 15-31. What are some "must visit" places or things to do in the area?
Hey all,
Not sure if this is the right subreddit to be posting this to so please let me know if I should be asking this somewhere else.
Just like the title says, I will be traveling to Osaka this coming October 15-31st. I plan on visiting Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, and Nara during this time. Was wondering what you guys experienced(or wanted to but didnt get a chance to or didnt know about prior) that you would recommend to someone visiting for the first time. I dont currently have any budget in mind and am pretty flexible with that.
Some of the bigger areas will be Osaka Aquarium, Universal Studios, Dotonbori, Tenjinbashi Street, Higashima Ward Kyoto, Nara Park, and Kobe. I have some restaurants marked out and some temples as well.
I am looking for some places that have great quality kitchen knives, wagyu beef to bring back to the US, any japan exclusive items that I can use in everyday life, must-try food places, any local events going on during this time of year, and cool hidden gems that preserve the traditions and culture of Japan.
This will be my second time traveling to Japan. The first time was last year where I stayed in Tokyo. I am familiar with basic phrases, etiquette, and navigating the train system.
Also feel free to add if you have any tips or how things may be different in Osaka compared to Tokyo! Im really excited and am open to try anything that Japan has to offer.
