dog coughing
hi, im just looking for some advice and maybe some words that could help ease my mind. my dog, jax, is a 10 year old chihuahua. he recently started coughing, and it's accompanied with occasional sneezing and a snotty nose (the snot is clear, idk if that rly means anything), as well as overly watery eyes and paw licking. i want to believe its most likely just allergies, but i keep thinking ab the worst case scenario. his activity level is normal, he's eating and drinking completely normal as well. i check his gums and tongue, and those look perfectly fine as well. i plan to make him a vet appointment on monday, i was really hoping to get him in today but i dont live near an emergency vet and the vets in my area closed at 12 today and they're closed on sundays. he plays like normal, and he isnt lethargic. the cough sounds a bit wet? i'm not sure. he has struggled with epilepsy since he was a little over a year old, but overall he's very healthy for his age. i'm jus concerned, and hoping for the best despite all my negative thinking.
