Hi all! Solo dev here. VECO is a free companion app for MSFS 2024: you fly for an airline with other pilots, and every completed flight feeds a shared airline economy – revenue, costs (incl. GSX) and live operations.
It's in closed alpha, so feedback is very welcome.
Just curious how many people here are actually using A Pilot’s Life regularly.
I’ve been using it myself and recently started working on a small companion add-on for A Pilot’s Life — not something that replaces APL, but something that runs alongside it and adds a deeper economy and management layer to your existing career.
Things like GSX services costing money, fuel/handling costs, airline balance, passenger satisfaction, flight stats etc., while still keeping APL as the career side of things.
It started mostly as something I wanted for myself and it somehow started turning into a proper app 😅
The part I’m most interested in is making the economy shared between players. So if multiple people fly for the same airline, everyone contributes to that airline’s economy through their flights. The airline earns and spends money based on what its pilots actually do, and there would also be rankings between airlines and pilots.
Basically, instead of everyone having their own isolated economy, you’d actually be building up your airline together with other people.
Would any other APL users actually use something like this?
Also curious what you guys feel is currently missing from APL or what you’d want an app like this to add.
