Glitchy cockpit just a few miles from landing!!!

4090 Graphics Advice please

Yes i know these pics show im getting over 30 fps but I can hardly load into JFK right now without dipping into the teens. My specs are:

RTX4090

i9-14900KF

And I also have 64gigs of ram. I feel like I should be getting a constant 60fps on ultra settings with no frame gen. Yes it gets better with frame gen but I jist hate how it looks with all the artifacting. Please tell me what im doing wrong 😭 I am also using reshade, the map enhancement mod, StrataWx, and REx atmos.

Learning the B707's systems was definitely one of my best decisions

Such a fun plane to fly. I was initially reluctant to read through the Aircraft AOM's in which the whole docs were written by a typewriter, but I am glad I did ! It was so worth it.

I found the Pressurisation section in paticular very interesting and when to use Turbocompressors and Engine Bleeds in tandem.

I made a full flight 3 crew role tutorial yesterday and a real 707 Flight Engineer said it was excellent like a training session. That really made my day :D

HELP : MSFS2024 + ADDONS CONFIGURATION

Im currently playing MSFS 2020, but I feel like something is missing from the sim. That’s why I’m thinking about switching to MSFS 2024. I’d like someone to help me over Discord with installing all the addons together and configuring the sim from scratch.
If there’s anyone Tunisian who could help me with this, that would be even better

Asobo L-39 has smoke?

Can't seem to activate or find any areobatic smoke generator for the Asobo L-39 albatross

Is it not included, or has someone managed to find smoke effects for this plane?

If not, I'm unsure how to add a suggestion on the msfs forums, since this plane is iconic with areobatic teams and smokes seems like a no-brainer for this plane

Do you guys play career mode?

I know nothing about flight so my favorite thing to do is go cold and dark on commercial jets and try to fly them from YouTube videos. I tried career mode but it seems kind of tedious. And unless I’m missing something it doesn’t let you do a full “cold and dark”

How do you guys personally enjoy the game and how can I enjoy it more?

Weight load times in iniBuilds A340

this is paid ini A340

this is free A330

I would really love to experience a realistic loading time in the A340 just like many other addon aircrafts (Fenix or FBW for example), but it seems like I have no choice other than 'instant', I wish inibuilds also changed it in the A330 or any other aircrafts that may be this way from them, because it really doesnt give you all that immersion, its either instant, almost instant, or close to an hour long

I would really appreciate any help if someone knows how I can load the A340 a bit more realistically, not just instant

MSFS 2020 → 2024

Looking for some advice from anyone who's made the jump from MSFS 2020 to 2024.

I used to play MSFS 2020 on Xbox Series X with a Turtle Beach VelocityOne Universal FCS + mouse/keyboard. Mostly flew airliners, but never really got into jets or helis since I only had a yoke.

I got a PC last year and tried 2024, but couldn't get past the button-mapping setup and eventually gave up. Now I've recently been gifted a Quest 3, and planning to get my hands on a VKB Gladiator EVO + STECS throttle (mini plus), so I'm thinking about giving 2024 another shot.

For those who've made the transition:

  • How different is 2024 from 2020?
  • Any tips for setting up the VKB controls?
  • How difficult is Quest 3 VR to get running well?
  • Anything you wish you'd known before making the switch?
  • What kind of VR performance/settings should I expect with my PC?

PC: Ultra 9 285K | RTX 5080 16GB | 32GB DDR5-5200 | 2TB SSD

TLDR: Basically going from MSFS 2020 + yoke → MSFS 2024 + HOTAS + VR and wondering what I'm getting myself into.

FSR Phenom 300E Guide (Free)

Hi guys, I would like to share with everyone today that I have made a free guide/manual for the recently release FSReborn Phenom 300E in MSFS 2024.

It is:

  • Simple to understand
  • Included with many screenshots
  • Step by step so you do not get lost
  • Included with arrows to show what to press/look for

The manual covers everything you need to know to get the plane started up and going, how to program the FMC, autopilot, and more. It covers literally all you need to know and do to get the plane from A to B, shutdown procedures included as well.

I have made guides for other planes such as Asobo/HH ATR 72 (pre aau4), FlightFX C750, and PMDG 777.

All my guides including the Phenom guide can be found on my Patreon page. Everything is FREE!! I plan to make more high quality free manuals in the future so please Spread the word :)

Stuck at 97%….

Hi everybody, so I’ve been playing this game for years and I have hundreds of hours on the game but just about two weeks ago I would press fly now and I would just sit there for hours at a time and I would not load in the airport so I contact Microsoft. They gave me all these different things. I told them tons of times that none of that’s working and then they just stopped helping me so now I have tried to delete the game and reinstall it and I’m stuck at 97% so I deleted it again and reinstalled it and now I’m still at 97% is there any reason why I sit at 97% for hours and hours?

VKB Gladiator EVO Pro + STECS Standard… honestly, what a difference

So I’ve finally moved over to a VKB Gladiator and STECS throttle from my old Saitek X56 Rhino HOTAS and… oh my god.

I genuinely wasn’t expecting the difference to be this big.

I paid decent money for the X56 a couple of years ago and, to be fair to it, it’s done alright. I never really thought there was anything massively wrong with it. It was just my HOTAS and I got on with it.

But the VKB stuff is on another planet.

I’ve been flight simming since Flight Simulator 98. Pretty sure I’ve owned basically every MS Flight Simulator since then, plus dabbled in X-Plane and P3D over the years, so I’m comfortably 20+ years into this hobby!

And genuinely, this is probably one of the biggest upgrades I’ve ever made.

The precision is just ridiculous. For years I’ve wondered why my landings were always a bit hit and miss, why I struggled to hold a really smooth approach, why flaring sometimes felt like complete guesswork etc.

Turns out a massive part of it was apparently the controls - even though I never pointed the blame at them.

It’s honestly turned the sim on its head for me. Tiny corrections actually feel like tiny corrections. Flare inputs feel predictable. Throttle movements feel deliberate rather than vaguely asking the aircraft to do something and hoping for the best.

I’m absolutely blown away by it.

My only complaint so far is I really wish Asobo/Microsoft would just include some decent default VKB profiles in MSFS 2024. Getting the STECS throttle properly going from 0-100% was a bit of a haphazard trial-and-error job at first. I figured it out pretty quickly, but I can imagine somebody completely new to flight simming/controller setup having absolutely no idea what they’re supposed to do.

But once it’s set up… wow.

If you’re currently using an X56 and sitting there wondering whether the VKB upgrade is actually going to make much difference, I can only speak for myself, but it’s been night and day.

All these years flight simming and I feel like I’ve suddenly discovered what the controls were supposed to feel like.

Defied all odds against my 8GB VRAM RTX 5060. Running MSFS 2024 MED-HIGH SETTINGS + FENIX A320 + PAYWARE AIRPORTS + FSLTL 4K MODELS

I came from X-Plane 12, and it was fun-i loved the physics, ground handling, environment of the atmosphere, weather, lighting, etc.; but there really was something missing-the immersion, the immersion of a real-world flight, with load sheets, loading, boarding seeing physical passengers, refueling, etc. So I thought it would be best to switch to the latest simulator, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024; but, there was a limit! It was my 8GB VRAM on my RTX 5060, plus I am using a 1440p monitor, which makes it even worse-I mean, I could very much handle it in XP12! With that said, I know a shit ton of pilots, airline pilots, specifically on the A320; they always told me that no matter how "good" the physics are in a simulator, you really won't get the feel from the Real Thing, might as well get a plane that goes down to the very very little bit of detail possible and replicate real-world procedures; forget about the physics that, physics this, physics whatever; it is only chair-flying, you are only flying 3D from your seat, in the comfort of your home. With that, there was only one clear unanimous choice: Fenix A320. But! I asked advice from a lot of people on this /r; and the only answers I'd receive were clear, "No, that won't be possible to run on that system-all the more that you cannot with that 1440P setup", I really thought I would be stuck flying and not enjoying X-Plane 12. Also, I thought of getting the old, MSFS 2020, a little bit lighter on my system, BUT WILL SURELY FILL UP MY 512GB SSD IN NO TIME. So, one day, I saved up all my allowances that my parents give me for school, and bought MSFS 2024 on steam plus the Fenix A320. I sure did regret it so much in the first place; everything was a stutter fest, it was all a mess! I couldn't even manage to get 10fps and exceeding my VRAM. But I really didn't wanna let go of MSFS 2024 and the Fenix, as it takes up sooo little space from my 512GB SSD-thanks to cloud streaming-and didn't wanna look back and go back to XP12. A couple weeks-like a week or two later-I finally properly tweaked my MSFS 2024, I get stable 60FPS at payware airports like Cloudsurf RPLL, WSSS, WMKK, and even Inibuilds EGLL! The tweaks that really helped me so much were: turning off Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling (HAGS), turning off Re-Bar in the BIOS, using TAA, capping in-game FPS to only 30FPS, lossless scaling on X2, and dynamic settings turned on. Those made my simulator worked like magic, on Medium-High settings!

Comprar aviones en MFS2024

Hola a todos!

Va a ser mi primera vez en comprar un sim de vuelo, y viendo todas las ediciones que tiene en Steam, no se por cuál irme…

Quiero decir, soy novato y quiero aprender.
