Recently caught up with the translated volumes of Rebuild World, and I really enjoyed it, especially the action. So now I’m looking for something similar. It doesn’t have to be sci-fi or anything; I’m mainly looking for similar vibes: mature action, a cool cast of characters, and an engaging story.
I recently finished all the published volumes of Conqueror from a Dying Kingdom and really enjoyed it. I'm still fairly new to light novels; so far, the only ones I've read are Conqueror from a Dying Kingdom and Mushoku Tensei. Something similar to either of those would be great.
What I enjoyed most about both series were the characters, so I'd love recommendations with a strong cast of characters. A romance subplot would be cool as well.
Outside of light novels, I've read Shadow Slave and Lord of the Mysteries, so recommendations with similar qualities would be welcome as well. I also tend to enjoy academy arcs, so if a series includes one, that's definitely a plus.
I'd like something with prominent female characters. It also doesn't have to be fantasy, I'm open to any genre as long as the characters are well-written and engaging.
