Having troubles…
Hello everyone new to the community and Subaru. Just bought a 2015 wrx limited in October with 70k miles. I now have it up to 86k and a few months ago was having trouble with boost Took it to the dealer right away under warranty they said it was a fuel rail pressure sensor and got the AC fixed as well. Was running just fine for a while until recently I noticed it wasn’t reaching full boost ( 18.6 ) it’s been very slow getting up to speed, you really only heard the engine revving up and not the turbo. The turbo doesn’t flutter nearly as loud and boost gauge says it’s only reaching max 6-10psi. Stopped driving it immediately towed it to the dealer ( did a lot of digging and freaked out ) they “cleaned the map sensor) charged me for a diagnostic fee and said that 6-10psi is “normal” for these cars LMAOO. I looked at the vacuum hoses and charge pipe can’t feel or see any cracks anywhere. Since they cleaned the MAP sensor I can now get it up to 14psi but it still feels very slow, as in it’s not throwing me back in my seat lol. Any ideas where to start next or what I can do I really do not want to take it back to the dealer and I am also not a mechanic what so ever 🤣 I have noticed that since they cleaned the MAP sensor it’s not as jerky when trying to accelerate and again it gets up to 14psi now but takes a lot longer
