Mindset Skills?

Hello parents! I'm considering taking my son (14) to see a coach that teaches Mindset Skills. These skills are meant help him work on is confidence, decision making, goal setting and practice with handling mistakes/failure by framing them as a tool for learning. Have any of you ever taken your child to learn Mindset Skills from a coach? While I teach him some of these skills at home, there's a power to the "not mom" where teens hear more from someone else than they do from their own parent. The coach is an educator that's now opened a small business that teaches these skills through a structured curriculum so it's not just some random person claiming to be a "coach." Thank you for any insight you can offer!

Parent feedback if you please ..

I’m a licensed educator who currently teaches in a public school. I’ve worked in education in different capacities since 1999. I’m thinking about opening a small business that offers mindset and life-skills coaching for children and teens. Before I go on there's one distinction I want to make is between therapy and coaching. While therapy helps support childrent that are working to overcome (mostly) past events, coaching helps support kids in practicing/applying skills that will help support kids in areas that will impact their future ... like decision making, confidence, motivation, handling mistakes/failure/setbacks, conditional thinking and much more! These are all skills I learned about much later in life and I sure wish I'd learned them as a kid! My intent with this business is to help kids (and their parents) so they can move through the world with greater confidence to achieve their goals and aspire to live their dreams! While parents probably teach some of these lessons to kids already ... the power of "not mom/dad" makes information come through a little bit clearer if you know what I mean. So, as a parent, would you be willing to invest in classes like this for your child/teen?

If you're willing to take a bit of time to give me some feedback as I build this business, I'd appreciate it. 🌻
