Humbug and Pep Waking Me Up When My Blood Sugar Levels Were Low

I'm very lucky to sometimes cat sit these 2 lovable rogue male cats. The tuxedo cat is called Humbug and the tabby cat is called Pep. Humbug is the bold social cat, that will jump on your lap whenever he gets a chance. Pep is the chief patrol cat that loves to investigate, but has a really soft side when he warms up to you. I was reading my kindle at my friends house and I fell asleep on the sofa. I'm a type 1 diabetic and I rely on continuous glucose meter to monitor my blood sugar levels. I have a receiver device which sets off an alarm if my blood sugar is too high or too low. As I dozed off, it must have been an hour or so later before my device was sounding the alarm for my blood sugar going too low. I must have slept through the first alarm, before Pep comes over sniffing my face and pawing at me gently to wake myself up. I was absolutely amazed by initiative how Pep was in this situation and once I sorted out my sugar levels I gave him a churu as a reward along with Humbug. Has anyone else had this experience with their cats?
