WOLFFPACK LETTINGS to be avoided at all costs. Heads up to anyone fetching for a place to rent in Nottingham / Derby

The title. 'WOLFFPACK LETTINGS'. DO NOT rent any place under 'WOLFFPACK LETTINGS' unless you're actively looking to wage war against your own sanity. I wish I were exaggerating, but this has been, without question, the most exasperating renting experience I have ever endured.

My current room was handed over in what I can only describe as a deplorable, borderline uninhabitable state a couple of months back. I accepted it solely because I had run out of options. I was repeatedly assured that every defect would be remedied almost immediately after I moved in. More than fifty days later, I am here with not a single meaningful repair being materialized.

The transformation is almost theatrical. During the viewing, the letting agent will be the most cordial and seemingly incapable of saying anything but exactly what a prospective tenant wants to hear. The moment the tenancy begins, however, that facade evaporates and diabolical nature of ignorance begins.

Every interaction becomes an exercise in futility. Chasing updates feels like shouting into a void. Straightforward maintenance requests somehow evolve into month-long sagas with no resolution in sight. Basic expectations of professionalism appear to be treated as optional luxuries rather than fundamental responsibilities.

This tenancy has been less of a living arrangement and more of an endurance test. A home is supposed to be a safe haven (which is a alien concept to this agency); this felt like a source of daily refuge with boiling aggravation.

If you value your peace of mind, AVOID 'WOLFFPACK LETTINGS' AND THANK ME LATER.

Does anyone on this sub work for NET/Tramlink? Please give us online real-time tracking of trams based on the GTFS-RT specification!

GTFS-RT will allow developers to show live arrival times of trams at stops, including Apple, Google, NET, Citymapper etc.

Best places to buy tinned fish like Sardines & Anchovies? (not supermarkets)

As the title says any good little deli shops with good selections of tinned fish?

Any tips for city centre bars showing the England match tonight (/tomorrow) that are going to be busy?

I know lots of places are showing it but there’s no way of knowing if they’re going to have any atmosphere until we arrive. Any guaranteed busy spots?

Edit: I genuinely find downvoting a simple question like this baffling.

Why is the tram genuinely so pathetic?

Has anyone ever bought a one way ticket for a tram, and then see on the board that a tram isn’t coming for 50 entire minutes.

the NetGO app doesn’t have available times so when I come home from uni, and I’m on the train I buy a ticket, and when I’m off the train, I tram back home. however for the last three times, I’ve gotten to the stop and realised that there will not be a tram for near enough an hour. not only that but when I’m home for the summer, taking the tram feels like a fools errand, and every single day the tram is delayed and running worse than Sunday service.

and what’s worse is when my ticket begins to run out I’ve been waiting so long and then get told off by ticket inspectors!!

they have zero empathy and I know it’s not their fault that the tram timetable is a disaster but their horrible and mean spirited marketing and really poor attitude make it really hard to empathise with them.

if the NCT went past Bulwell I would defo jump ship but alas, it’s all we have.

Curly hair barbers recommendations

My brothers got 3C hair and has had it long his whole life except when he buzzed it all off when he was a kid. He hardly ever does anything too it like gets it cut once a year when he’s desperate for one but not he’s saying he wants to go short or just shave it all off. Trying to convince him not to go fully bald so just wondering if anyone has suggestions for good barbers in Nottingham that specialise/ or are good with curly hair? He’s not sure what style he wants as he doesn’t know what suits his face shape the most so I think a going for a consultation would be good too. I’ve attached pictures below of stuff that he likes. He just can’t be bothered with the maintenance of having to get it cut regularly so something that won’t look to bad if it gets a bit long would be great too.

Nottingham tram appeals

How easy is it to win an appeal for non showing of ticket?
So. My sister bought our tram tickets we boarded in the morning and spent the day in Notts. We got back on to go home in the afternoon and the tram tickets were lost. Couldn’t find them in any bag. The ticket officers asked us to get off with them at the next stop and because we couldn’t find them we were issued a £120 x2 fixed penalty notice even though we could provide the transaction though the banking app to prove we had paid for them and along with the times of the journey, they said they couldn’t use this as proof as we could have sold the tickets and that we would have to appeal.
Now we have to wait for an appeals form in our emails. Has anyone won an appeal? Thanks

Major Oak

Passed by the Major Oak this morning. Looking very gothic compared to the surrounding forest. Like something from a Tim Burton movie.
