Purchasing a vehicle

I have never purchased a vehicle before.

I have $30,000CAD to purchase a vehicle.

I am looking to purchase new or next to new and if I have to (which I most likely will as I am having a hard time finding anything out the door under $30,000 and new or newish) finance the rest - say approx $5000 - $7000 is the range that I am thinking I may have to finance.

I need help with how I go about this all.

I know I don't walk into a dealership announcing that I have $30,000 cash. I have figured that much out on my own!

I don't have anybody to help me with buying a vehicle and I am so worried about getting taken.

This is a big purchase for me and I'm really hoping to not screw it up.

Any advice, tips, things I should be aware of and how or if I am able to bargain a lower price etc?

I am starting my search today by visiting a couple dealerships (Kia, Mazda, and possibly Toyota)

Help please!

Prometrium

My doctor started me on prometrium (generic brand Reddy Progesterone) 200mg a few months back.

I was to take it from the 1st to the 12th of the month and then stop and repeat the next month 1st - 12th etc.

I took it for the 12 days and after I stopped taking it I felt terrible. I was so low and depressed, crying for no reason, laying in bed just balling my eyes out and just feeling like an emotional mess. I already suffer from depression, and my doctor mentioned that the prometrium could cause low mood.

Well it was very low and scaring me, and I wasn't able to get ahold of my doctor, so I called my pharmacist and she advised me not to take it again (that I may have experienced a crash due to progesterone levels being elevated for those days and then just suddenly dropping) and wait until my next doctor's appt.

At my next doctor's appt she changed me from cycling it, to taking it every day.

It's about day 18 or 19 now that I have been taking it everyday and I still feel like crap. Quite dizzy, increase in brain fog and "out of it" feeling, very low mood, possibly some GI upset (hard to tell, as I already suffer from chronic nausea and IBS).

I have a doctor's appt, in another month, and I believe my doctor advised me that she would then be adding an estrogen gel to go along with the prometrium? (I believe it's a gel, I recall her rubbing her inner arm with her fingers as she was explaining it).

I don't know if I want to, or should, continue with the prometrium until I can see her at that next appt and add on the estrogen.

I'm feeling pretty crappy and not sure if it gets better with time or what?

Advice please! (Ultimately, I will be consulting with either my doctor or my pharmacist, again, also!).

Looking for any and all Canadian Subreddits.

I'm not looking for ones that are specific to a certain area (Province, city etc) - just ones that are Canadian in general.

Any and all topics!

Thanks!
