Confused about Alamo’s sudden distrust

Okay I’m confused about something in Season 3 Episode 4 (“Kitty Likes to Dance”) and I feel like I’m missing something.

When Laurie’s men raid the Silver Slipper, there’s that scene where Rue is watching the surveillance footage with Magick while she’s on the phone with Bishop. Bishop asks her to zoom in/review the footage, and then Rue recognizes Faye and says that Faye works for Laurie.

But later, when Magick is warning Alamo not to trust Rue, she mentions that she was in the room along with Rue while the robbery was happening. Then Alamo asks her something like, “Wait, you were in the room too? So when the robbery was happening, was there a lot of talking?” And Magick says yes, there was a lot of yelling and talking.

And THAT’S when Alamo says something along the lines of, “Well then, if they were yelling and talking, why didn’t Rue recognize them right then and there ?” Since Rue used to live with those guys, he thinks she should’ve recognized their voices immediately.

But… why does that suddenly make him so suspicious?

Rue did identify them. She recognized Faye almost immediately after seeing the footage just a few minutes after the robbery, and she openly revealed to them that Faye works with Laurie. It’s not like she hid that fact at all. So I don’t get why the fact that Rue didn’t perform an “instant voice recognition” suddenly becomes this huge tipping point for Alamo.

Am I misunderstanding something here?
