Too many medications before getting pregnant
Hi everyone,
My first time posting! I’ve read a loooot of posts and reddit has been my safe space lately where MS is not this scary thing.
I was diagnosed last year after giving birth to my baby girl. MS was discovered by chance I was getting an MRI for my back pain where they noticed “white spots”, after that Brain MRI and LP was done and it’s confirmed. I have never really had a noticeable symptoms like yeah I have chronic migraines and sometimes my feet go numb and one time when I was in high school (29 now) I got electric numbness when I moved my neck, but nothing was really noticeable. It took a lot for me to accept the diagnosis but thank god everything is under control and drs really assured me starting medication early is like freezing my current status for as long as possible. And that’s how I started Kesimpta
Starting this year and thanks to my neuro I started Botox for my migraine which for 2 months was a life saver after that, not so much. Anyway, she is recommending I take Emgality on top of Botox to control my migraine.
The thing is I will be doing botox and taking Emgality and Kesimpta at the same time, has anyone else taken these medication together?
Also, me and my husband have planned to try for a second baby before the end of this year, would it be harmful to me or the baby? (I know I will stop all medications before getting pregnant but still) I’m really worried it would affect negatively, any advice???? I’m really considering not starting Emgality until after my baby is delivered safely but the idea of enduring the migraine after I just got promoted and my workload almost doubled is terrifying.
Any advice would help greatly!
