Affordable places for young couple

Pretty much the title. My husband and I are looking to move. We are in our late 20s and have lived in Frederick, Maryland for the past couple of years. We enjoy it, but it’s becoming expensive. We both work from home so commute is not an issue. We are just looking for some place safe where we can also meet other young people or at least be a close enough commute to some fun things/nightlife. We’re looking to rent and our current budget is $1700-$1900 for a 2-bedroom. Any comments or suggestions on places to move toward or stay away from would be helpful, thanks!

Advice needed: combining thin locs

Hi everyone! Need some advice. It’ll be about a year next month that have had my DIY microlocs in. I have 4C hair, about 320 locs, and I use a 4pt rotation to maintain about every 6-8 weeks.

So I have a bald spot that I’ve had since a child (I had flat twist done into a bun at the top of my head and the bun was so tight it ripped the hair out the middle of my head and never grew back. I know, tragic. ) I’ve obviously never had trouble covering the spot it before locs, but having locs made me worried that it would show often. In order to combat this I kind of just didn’t retie the locs around my bald spot. After the original install I left 2-4 locs around my bald spot alone. This was a mistake, because of this, now I notice these locs are much thicker and heavier at the end and thinner towards the base and I feel like it’s a recipe for my locs falling out.

So really any advice would be helpful. Should I just combine these locs at this point to make them stronger, Or should I attempt interlocking them? Any tips on covering bald spots? Thanks!
