I don't think people read listings anymore...

Was looking up Kaboom's on ebay this morning and saw this. I don't think people are reading the title or the item description and realize they likely won't get the card (no idea how many cards are in the chase or anything).

Question -- Who will have more ownership in the final result?

**Updated to provide Chaser explanation:
You are not guaranteed to get the card that is listed. Typically, a seller will post a card (like the one you see above) and you are bidding or BIN on essentially a lottery ticket to win the card.

Let's say that the market value for a card is $4000. A seller may list to purchase entries at $50 a piece and give a 1/100 chance to win. The seller will profit ~$1000 (if they actually send the card). However, with ebay, to my knowledge there isn't a way to verify that the card is even available, let alone sent to anyone that purchased an entry. People will then receive something in the mail, likely just a bunch of junk cards and told "sorry, you didn't win the chaser" but there's no way to confirm that the chaser card was ever sent.

Tldr; it's a way to gamble. People who are newer to the space may be thinking they are getting a deal on a card (like the original post above) but will never actually receive the card. Just like many are saying here, it's a scam if there is no way to regulate it. You'll never know if the card was ever sent.
