Sturdy, maneuverable vacuum on a limited budget
Hello! So my Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2 just died, the wand function anyway. I got it in 2020 so I really got a good life out of it, for these newer flimsier Dyson uprights. (Before that I had a Dyson DC15 for 12 years, amazing machine.)
Anyway, I am not sure what to replace it with. I definitely want a bagged vacuum. There are excessive amounts of cat hair and dust in here, as well as a wool carpet that sheds insanely (one vacuuming can fill up almost fill up the canister, STILL, and I've had it for five years).
So I need a good vacuum that will take abuse and be easy to unclog. Cat toys are everywhere and can get sucked up - the Dyson was simple to unclog whenever this happened. It will have to vacuum up cat litter particles in addition to all the dust, wool, and cat hair previously mentioned.
Next thing: I live in a tiny apartment, 600 square feet, unfortunately crammed with furniture. Mix of hardwood floors and area rugs of varying pile height. So it needs to be easily maneuverable.
It either needs to be an upright with a wand function, or a canister. I've never had a canister before so im not sure about it. Def corded and not a stick.
My budget is about $400 in reality but I would love to see your recommendations up to about $800 in case I choose the buy it for life option. Thanks if you read all this and have any advice.
