Running out of ideas for a themed Zumba class?

I think I’ve done them all so I’m looking for some fresh ideas for a themed class. I’ve done all the typical holidays like New Years, Halloween, Xmas, as well as Pride, Carnival, neon, glitter, 80s, 90s, just to name a few. I need something outside the box 😅. So my question is, if you could assign your instructor (or if you’re an instructor) a hilarious theme what would you pick?

It’s Raining…Again!

Is anyone teaching or attending any outdoor Zumba classes this summer? How do you handle rainy days? Do you have a back up indoor space that you can use? It seems like it rains every Wednesday for me 😩. Thankfully I teach 2 other classes in the gym but I thought an outdoor class would have been fun this time around. Any advice? How do you keep your outdoor classes fun?

It’s been a tough week. One of my front row divas and life of the party, pass away tragically. We are all in shock and it has hit us pretty hard. I was not sure what to say or how to address it in class but I had too. Some ladies were already crying when I got there, so emotions were really high but it made me realize how much they have grown to depend on each other not just for a workout but through difficult times as well. Seeing that was a validation for me, knowing that I created a community where they can count on each other for support through hard times. We hugged and we cried. I made my speech and reminded them about all of the fond memories we have of her and reminded them that she will forever have her spot in class and that when we dance we will forever feel her joy. Then we danced. How do you deal with death in a class where we our business is about fun?
