I am on the S6 edge back...

After the amazing deal I made 1 week and half ago, my S25 FE is dead. It literally glitched and now when I try to power it on it is stuck for 1 hour on the Samsung Galaxy logo. For a second I saw a screen with red text that said "Kernel Panic". Can it be fixed?

Fotocamera S25 FE distrutta... :(

Samsung dissapointed for the third consecutive day the S25 users...

While One UI 9.0 Beta 5 has been released one the Galaxy S26 series bringing bug fixes and Warranty & care, the S25 Series still remain with no One UI 9.0 Beta 1.

The next expected release date which is very likely since the Beta 5 was launched (today was quite likely for us to get it but tomorrow is extremly likely) is tomorrow.

I will keep you updated as much as I can.

One UI 9 Beta might finally come to the S25 series tomorrow, including the beloved S25 FE!

If we look back in the years, or even since One UI 7 Beta testing, we can see the official dates for all devices included in the first beta.

History:

One UI 7.0 Beta 1: December 16th 2024, that was on a Monday. (Galaxy S24 series)

One UI 8.0 Beta 1: May 28th 2025, that was on a Wednesday. (Galaxy S25 series)

One UI 8.5 Beta 1: December 8th 2025, that was on a Wednesday. (Galaxy S25 series)

One UI 9.0 Beta 1: May 13th 2026, that was on a Wednesday. (Galaxy S26 series)

Now, the S25 series are announced to get One UI 9.0 Beta in the selected beta testing countries between August 10th and August 14th, but the most reasonable dates are Monday and Wednesday of the week because not only on beta updates, but on stable updates too, Samsung loves to release updates on these dates. Now, at the time of this post (August 11th 2026), One UI 9.0 Beta is still not available on the S25 series but the only release date remaining very likely is tommorow.

Here is the list of the devices who will probably get One UI 9.0 Beta tomorrow:

-Galaxy S25

-Galaxy S25+

-Galaxy S25 Ultra

-Galaxy S25 FE

It is interesting to know that the S25 Edge is not here in the list.

My honest review after one day of using the S8 as primary.

Pls read all the review because it is a honest review and i putted work into it.

So if you didn't know, I installed One UI 8.0 and Android 16 on a 25$, pristine condition, 9 year old smartphone. That is right. The legendary Galaxy S8. I officially ditched my S25 FE, and switched for a day to the Galaxy S8 to see if it is usable in 2026 (almost 2027 lol) with a Custom ROM, and that i would compare it to the cheapest and newest A series phones (Galaxy A07 and A17), and also their most premium midrange (A57). Now all other phones i used them in other days as primary.

Back to the S8. Build quality-wise? This phone is extremly compact and light, BUT... very slippery too. I dropped it once today on gravel and left a very small dent on the frame. But overall, this is extremly solid-built. It feels much more premium than the A07 and A17 but quite simmilar to the A57 because it has a glossy back and metal frame.

Display quality-wise? It is a beast in colour, glass feel at finger, and resolution (i kept it at QHD+ all the time of the test so you know), but brightness? Inside is perfect. Outside at daytime in sun? Meh... gets the job done if you just want to check the time. But for more productivity things or just simply relaxing on a bench in the park, it gets hell of a hot (S25 FE, A07, A17 and A57 do the same thing after a while) and reduces the luminosity even with Outdoor mode on. It is just really annoying at the S8 and A17 to have such weak brightness, but if we compare them with the A07... well... the A07 is purely mediocre at everything, especially display quality and performance. For the S8 display... i will say that it is awesome, and bad but at different times.

Performance wise? Well, the S8 on One UI 8.0 crushes the A07 (and the A17 if i am not wrong) in Geekbench 6, scoring 598 single-core and 2879 multi-core. And you might say: "Oh but this is horrible!" which i will say "Yes. For modern phones. But for a 9 year old phone, that runs Android 16, full Galaxy AI features, and probably the heaviest custom Android OS (One UI) it is rather impressive than bad that it beats the newest entry-level budget phones. So quick to your question: "Is it usable in 2026 performance wise?". Yup. Totally. The custom ROM is so optimised that it is better than the A57 (A series phone stutters sometimes in lag test).

Camera? Oh boy, here we loose a major thing with it. 60FPS recording on FHD. You can film 720p, 1080p or 1440p at 30FPS, but has slo motion mode at 120FPS. But photos are still better than the A07, A17, and very similar to the A57. So it is very usable.

One thing that extremly disappointed me was battery, but expected. At 84% battery health left for a 3000mAh cell is trash. It kept getting worse day by day (actually it got back to normal because it was better after i installed One UI 8.0. [BUT REMEMBER: I SAID I WAS USING QHD RESOLUTION!].

I got up at 7:00 today, scrolled a bit (30-40 min) in the morning on YouTube. At 7:45 am I was down to 88% battery. Then i just left it on the table and did my work until 12:00. The phone was doing nothing except being connected to my watch. I was at 85% battery. I kept using it a bit the entire day for random quick photos, and at midday I went to buy some groceries, so I used 4G, and at 5pm I was down to 27% left. (Keep in mind that from 25% or lower the battery goes if you use it continuesly, 1%/3-4 minutes.). And btw. NFC and banking apps still work perfecly. And at bedtime, at 10pm, I was at 4% battery left (at 9:50pm I was at 9% lol), so i plugged it at charger. Basically i can say that it is barely a day long phone. And my S8 literally discharges even plugged in if it is under 10% down to 1% and then starts to actually charge. Basically battery is fucked so much.

That is it. All the basics in a review. But now I will come back to my S25 FE...

Shockingly good battery life on my new Galaxy S25 FE

This is my second battery cycle since I got my S25 FE almost 3 days ago. I have almost 8 hours of screen time and I am at 57%

I finally got my dream phone 9 years later for 25£ in pristine condition! 🥹

It is the Galaxy S8 and i wanted it in 2017 but i didn't have money and I was only 8 then (I had the S6 Edge btw and I upgraded 2 days ago to the S25 FE from it). Now that I am 17 I have my own money and I bought it and gave it an upgrade from One UI 1.0 to One UI 3.1.

Such a beautiful design... PRIME SAMSUNG ERA...

We got a winner!

HUGE THANKS TO sirius_7s FOR CHOOSING FOR MY BRAND NEW GALAXY S25 FE THE BEST WALLPAPERS! This one was the chosen one. (First 2 ones with the montain). But i had some favourites on second, third, fourth and fifth place. On the second place it has to be this one with the green forest, on third place we have an amazing photo of the earth from another planet. On fourth place it is a combination of modern busy city with that retro tropical look of the 80s'. And on the fifth place we have a more game-like wallpaper which is so good looking. Now do not think the other wallpapers posted were not good or appreciated. All of them were great but those 5 caught my eye the most!

I finally upgraded to the S25 FE!

So I just upgraded to the S25 FE fron the Galaxy S6 Edge! I never updated the S6 Edge so it is still on Android 5.0.2, and it performs... well... not good for me but good for a grandparent! 😅 And if you wonder why the recents and back buttons in the S6 Edge are not there is because it is an replacement screen that does not have that button drawings and lights (even though they still work 🫤). Also please tell me if my new meta glasses captured the photo good enough, so I know I spended money on something actually good.
