I have a chance to get a decent road bike for a song - a racer is selling his old training bike for €140. It's equipped with a dual-control Xenon 2x9 groupset. I have no experience whatsoever with Campagnolo, but if I understand correctly, this model is long discontinued and not interchangeable with any other brands, right? Would it be a worthy acquisition for a recreational rider? How responsive and smooth is switching compared to e.g. Shimano 5700?
