Sudden severe vision change
About 5 days ago, my husbands right eye got really blurry within a matter of hours. We went to the eye doctor on Thursday and his vision in the right eye is significantly worse than it was before. It went from a -0.5 to a -3.25. The Optos scan showed nothing wrong with the back of his eye and the only thing the optometrist could see is that his cornea is hazy. She prescribed antibiotic eye drops and said to come back in a week or sooner if it gets worse or go to the ER if they are not open. He started the eye drops on Thursday night and it’s Sunday now with no change in vision. His vision in his right eye is still very blurry and he can only see things clearly when they are a few inches from his face. He had no redness or any signs of infection before, just the significant change in vision. I’m very concerned that if it’s not an infection, we are wasting time and not accurately treating something that could become permanent. Has anyone experienced this or something similar to this before?
