ULPT request - a rooster won't stop cackling all day and night
I moved to my recently purchase house at the end of past summer and never really needed to open windows for long periods. I noticed I could hear a rooster from a neighbor but only when I had windows opened, which wasn't for long and definitely not during nights.
The thing is, now the temperature is higher and I need to open the windows during the nights, this is when my nightmare starts: the rooster is cackling all day, but also all night. There is maybe a period of 3-4 hour from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM of silence, and then it begins again. It is imposible to sleep.
This has affected me in several ways: anxiety, insomnia, unable to sleep, head ache...As far as I know the owners are "bad" people, although I don't know to which extent, so I don't think talking to them will solve anything.
What are your tips for this situation? I'm trully desperated and I don't have the money to purchase another house.
EDIT: Thank you for your responses, I'll clarify that this is happening in Spain, in a mid-size city. I haven't talked to police yet because somehow I feel...well I don't know the word in english, but I don't want to be that naughty neighbor that complains about something every one else is fine with.
